・Power of Attorney (stamped with registered seal)
・ETC Setup Power of Attorney (if you chose the ETC setup option)
*ETC re-setup refers to the process of updating the vehicle information registered in the ETC system. If you use the ETC without updating the vehicle information from the previous owner, it may cause problems such as the ETC gate not opening or being considered fraudulent use and subject to penalties.
・Parking Certificate Acquisition Proxy Power of Attorney (if you chose the parking certificate acquisition proxy option)
2. Documents you need to prepare yourself
・Seal Registration Certificate (issued within 3 months × 1)
・Motor Vehicle Storage Location Certificate (if obtaining parking certificate yourself)
3. Documents required to obtain parking certificate
・Motor Vehicle Storage Location Certificate Application (obtained from jurisdictional police station)
・Storage Location Certificate Issuance Application (obtained from jurisdictional police station)
・Storage Location Address and Layout Map (obtained from jurisdictional police station)
・Storage Location Use Rights Certification (if you own the storage location)
・Storage Location Use Consent Certificate (if the storage location is rented)
*As one of Cartree's service options, we offer a parking certificate proxy option. If you wish to use this option, you will need to prepare the documents required to obtain the parking certificate and send them to Cartree.

Process from sale completion to submitting required documents
For those who sold a vehicle (regular car & light vehicle)
・Please fill out the documents sent by Cartree and return the documents you prepared to Cartree using the return envelope (Yu-Pack) sent by Cartree. Please note that documents to be placed in the vehicle (automobile tax payment certificate, light vehicle tax payment certificate, compulsory automobile liability insurance certificate, recycling ticket) should be kept with you and placed inside the vehicle on the vehicle delivery date.
For those who purchased a vehicle (regular car & light vehicle)
・Similarly, for those who purchased a vehicle, please fill out the documents sent by Cartree, and after confirming there are no errors in the Cartree documents, return the documents you prepared to Cartree using the return envelope (Yu-Pack) sent by Cartree.
Important notes regarding "transfer registration"
As explained above, for "transfer registration," not only are the required documents different between the seller and buyer, but they also differ between regular cars and light vehicles, so caution is required.
Also, if the address on the vehicle inspection certificate (vehicle registration) and the seal registration certificate/application request form are different, the following documents are required.
・If your address has changed once : Resident certificate
・If your address has changed multiple times: Family register attachment or removed resident certificate
・If your surname has changed due to marriage, etc.: Family register
*For light vehicles, only a resident certificate is required regardless of the number of moves.
